For those crew who are seeing yachting experience, SeaAid provides a wonderful opportunity for you to learn essential boating skills and gain valuable sea time while simultaneously enjoying the satisfaction of helping people from coastal communities.
In most cases volunteer crew will be responsible for their travel costs to and from the yacht, as well as your onboard living expenses. Your accommodations onboard would be at no charge for the duration of the project or delivery. For some projects, your onboard expenses could be paid for by generous project sponsors.
SeaAid is also in need of experienced and licensed Captains, Mates, and Engineers who would like to volunteer their time to a SeaAid project or yacht delivery.Although unpaid, your participation as a volunteer for a SeaAid project would be a highly rewarding experience that would certainly be looked upon favorably by crew agencies and potential employers - while still earning valuable sea time and experience. Depending upon the specific project, professional crew would have their food and onboard living expenses paid for by generous project sponsors. In some cases, travel expenses to and from the yacht would also be covered.
